If you are ever in the White Mountains, make sure to stop by the North Country Whittler on route 16 in Albany, New Hampshire. Many wooden animal images can be seen within the shop along with one-of-a-kind wooden furniture. Every carving is created by the owner Joshua Sargent. Bears are his specialty, and he has demonstrated that he has taken chainsaw art to another level; American Indian busts are intricately detailed with his hand tools; and his beautiful Brownfield Bog burl bowls are crafted with his lathe. He has a sawmill, and cuts wide, customs live edge, thick pine bar tops and counter tops. Custom or commissioned carved pieces are also considered.
